May is an ideal month to honor America’s military – both veterans and those on active duty. In addition to the Memorial Day holiday, Victory in Europe Day (V-E Day) falls on May 8th. A lesser-known holiday, Armed Forces Day is celebrated on the third Saturday of May. This holiday was created in 1949 to combine the celebration days of all branches of the military.
Here at Caliber Home Loans, all of our employees were invited to participate in the 2016 Military May Patriotic Decorating Contest. Winners from three categories were recognized across the nation, in branches and Caliber’s corporate headquarters in Irving, Texas.
