May, marked as Military Appreciation Month, served as an opportunity for Caliber Home Loans, Inc. to show our appreciation and gratitude for the selfless sacrifices made by our military members, and their families and spouses.

We were excited to attend the 2022 Military Spouse of the Year event and surprise 150 military spouses with coffee for Military Spouse Appreciation Day. Brittany Boccher, National Director of Military Engagement, spoke to the audience about the challenges facing military families as they tackle homebuying. Then she explained how Caliber is taking the initiative to work with strategic partners to find solutions that aid in food insecurity, military spouse unemployment, and VA home loan education.

We also attended the Hiring our Heroes Military Spouse Summit where we presented the findings of military spouse employment research. Caliber was proud to stand alongside other corporations who have made the commitment to hire and employ military spouses as well as support military spouse small businesses and nonprofits who serve the military and veteran community every day.

Back in-house during the month of May, one of Caliber’s Employee Resource Groups (ERGs), United Military Veteran Resource Group, chose to support Patriot Paws graduation, where service animals were paired with their veteran. The employee-led group spanned their efforts to include raising awareness and funds in honor of the Fallen for The Unquiet Professional Memorial Mile. Additionally, Caliber recognized all our employees who identify as a veteran, National Guard, Reservist, or military/veteran spouse.

While military support has always been a top priority for Caliber, education was among our highest missions throughout the month of May. We connected with 800 industry professionals and consumers to explain the significance of the VA home loan benefit. And through our strategic partnerships, our education efforts reached nearly 45,000 people. Caliber is not only here to support our military members, but also help them achieve their homeownership dreams.
